Join us as we team up with Fajr Scientific to help provide world-class surgical care to Palestinians in Gaza and empower them to support all those around them! This is the most cost-effective, long-term, and impactful surgical intervention for Gaza in existence!

This month we ask you to join us in a promise. A promise to be the best people we can be. A promise to continually fill our hearts with as much generosity as we do our stomachs with water. A promise to give that which we don't need to provide those that do. A promise to never forget that we are always best defined by what we are willing to do for those that can do nothing for us. And lastly, a promise to be there for the people in Gaza as they need us now.

Help give the Palestinians in Gaza the medical and surgical care that they desperately need.

The Problem

  • More than 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza have medical injuries
  • The current dismantled medical infrastructure has no ability to provide non-operative and surgical care to the thousands of Palestinians who desperately need life-saving surgery

How this affects Palestinians in Gaza:

  • Many of these medical injuries that Palestinians in Gaza have are not survivable if they do not receive the proper medical and surgical care that they need. These injuries will destroy the lives of those affected and their families if left untreated.
  • Even if Palestinians are able to survive their medical injuries, without proper treatment they likely will be disabled, unable to work, and unable to provide for themselves of their families. Their lives will be ruined.

The solution

Our medical mission will allow for thousands of complex orthopedic, plastic, cardiothoracic, and vascular surgeries for Palestinian children and adults. These surgeries will help people put their lives back together, to be able to work again, to be able to play with their kids and grandkids again.

The main goal of this project is to provide as many emergency surgeries as possible in Gaza immediately after the ceasefire. This involves the logistical planning of the medical mission, the purchase of all the essential medical and surgical supplies, and the entire patient care with highly skilled surgeons and medical professionals of all specialties conducting surgeries and medical treatments in Gaza.

This is more than just doing surgery or providing medication. This is about saving lives. This is about giving Palestinians the ability to live and help all those around them. This is about empowering them. This is about actually making a real long-term difference.

Fajr Scientific has done this successfully before. Below is the most recent 2023 Medical Mission:

In 2023, Fajr Scientific did the following at an average cost of approximately $2,000 per patient: Completed over 200 Complex orthopedic surgeries, completed over 80 joint injections in 10 days, over 200 Anesthesia Administrations, over 200 Physical Therapy Sessions, over 200 successful Hospital discharges, over 7000 Radiology Reports Reviewed, over 100 Clinic visits including ‘Gaza Street Clinics.

There have been ZERO Complications, ZERO Infections, and ZERO Safety Incidents with Fajr's medical missions!

Think about that! Think about how much a surgery, the medical care, and the hospital stay would cost in the United States. Yet for approximately $2,000, Fajr was able to provide the entirety of that care to each patient while maintaining world-class quality of patient and medical care! Better yet, for this year's mission that cost is now approximately $1,000 per patient!

Fajr Scientific is committed to the following with this 2024 medical mission at an average “all-in” cost of only $1,000 per patient:

  • To successfully complete over 500 Complex cardiothoracic, orthopedic, vascular, and reconstructive surgeries!
  • To successfully train over 100 medical personnel including over 100 Palestinian surgeons!
  • To successfully train over 100 clinical researchers and medical students to manage the FAJR Medical and Surgical Registry to ensure continuity of care.
  • To complete the medical mission with 0 infections, 0 complications & and 0 safety incidences

Your donations will support the following interventions:

  • The completion of over 500 complex surgeries in the fields of cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, and reconstructive surgery
  • Hundreds of Anesthesia Administrations
  • Hundreds of Physical Therapy Sessions
  • Hundreds of Hospital discharges
  • Hundreds of Radiology Reports Reviewed
  • Hundreds of clinic visits
  • Zero Complications Zero Infections Zero Safety Incidents

This remarkable work will be photographed, video recorded, and broadcast across major outlets. Complete transparency is a core principle of Fajr Scientific and The Giving Games Foundation. We are excited to show you and the world the impact of your donations as this medical mission is underway!

The Palestinians in Gaza need us now. You CAN change their life. You CAN change their family's life. You CAN be the change. Donate today.

What is childhood cancer?

Childhood cancer (also called pediatric cancer) typically refers to a cancer that is found in children and teens, and sometimes young adults. It is not just one disease. There are many types, which can be found in different places throughout the body.

The most common cancer in children is leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Cancer can also occur in organs and tissues such as the lymph nodes (lymphoma), nervous system (brain tumors) and muscles, bone and skin (solid tumors).

Does cancer treatment save lives?

Cancer treatments do in fact regularly save lives. However, one of the challenges of a cancer diagnosis is the need for continued treatment making your support all the more necessary for those who have nowhere to turn.

Is my donation Zakat eligible?

Yes! Approximately 70% of our recipients are Zakat Eligible.

What is the average cost of cancer treatment?

You can cover the entire treatment for a child for $5000 USD!

How is my Zakat money spent? Who is it spent on?

The Zakat donations that we receive from our donors are distributed among Zakat eligible patients for whichever treatment they are receiving from Indus Health Network facilities.

What are your guidelines for distributing Zakat Donations?

The Indus Hospital provides quality care without any discrimination, free of cost through the support of your Zakat and Donations.

With the help of reputable Sharia Scholars, The Indus Hospital (TIH) has developed a criterion to ascertain if Zakat is applicable to a certain individual. Whenever a patient visits the Indus Hospital, he/she goes through the assessment with TIH’s welfare officer to determine if the patient is eligible for Zakat or not.

Once the recipient of Zakat is identified, their MR number is marked to signify that the patient’s treatment should be supported from Zakat account. The patient is requested to sign a declaration granting the Indus Hospital permission to collect Zakat on their behalf and to use that Zakat to sponsor the treatment of his/her and/or other patients or hospital requirements. Once the patient is discharged, hospital generates an internal bill and sends it to the Zakat Committee for settlement.
